Livelihood Training
The Livelihood Training program at Yuva Sahyog equips young people with the skills, confidence, and support they need to access decent work, start small enterprises, and build sustainable careers. It provides hands-on training, exposure to industry practices, and mentorship from experienced professionals. By strengthening their employability and entrepreneurial abilities, the program empowers youth to secure stable futures and contribute positively to their communities.

Problem Statement
Many youth, especially from low-income and marginalised communities, leave school without market-relevant skills and struggle to find dignified, stable employment. They often face barriers such as limited career guidance, lack of exposure, and few affordable training options, which leads to underemployment, informal work, and financial insecurity for themselves and their families.

Market-Driven Training
Provide accessible, high-quality skill development and vocational training linked to real labour market needs.
Holistic Skill Building
Enhance employability through technical skills, digital literacy, and essential soft skills such as communication, teamwork, and workplace behaviour.
Youth Employment Support
Support youth to secure jobs, apprenticeships, or start microenterprises, thereby improving household income and economic resilience.
OBJECTIVES

The Livelihood Training program offers structured, batch-based courses in key vocational streams such as entrepreneurship, digital skills, service and retail, and locally relevant trades. Training blends classroom sessions, hands-on practice, and exposure visits, followed by placement assistance, career counselling, and, where possible, linkages to microenterprise support or credit facilitation. Alumni networks and mentorship circles are nurtured so that successful trainees can guide new participants, share opportunities, and strengthen a community of skilled, employable youth.

Success Stories and Alumni
Alumni stories are showcased as powerful examples of what youth can achieve when given the right opportunities and support. Many trainees progress from having limited options to securing stable jobs, increasing family income, or starting small enterprises of their own, often inspiring peers in their communities to join similar programs. Selected alumni are invited back as role models and peer mentors, sharing their journeys and guiding new batches.
