Community Engagement
Community Engagement at Yuva Sahyog enables young people to lead positive change in their neighbourhoods through hands-on initiatives, dialogue, and collective action. Youth are treated as partners in development, contributing ideas, energy, and leadership to address local social, civic, and environmental challenges. The programme also nurtures a sense of ownership and responsibility, empowering young citizens to co-create solutions with community members. Through continuous mentorship and collaborative projects, Yuva Sahyog helps build stronger, more inclusive neighbourhoods driven by youth-led innovation and collective commitment.

Problem Statement
Many young people in our communities feel disconnected from local decision-making and lack structured opportunities to participate in solving the issues they experience daily, such as poor public services, social inequalities, and limited safe spaces for youth. This underutilisation of youth potential leads to low civic participation, reduced confidence, and missed opportunities for communities to benefit from youth creativity and leadership.

Objectives
Create inclusive platforms where youth can voice concerns and co-design solutions for their communities.
Build leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills through practical community-based projects and campaigns.
Strengthen connections between youth, local institutions, and citizens to foster shared responsibility and active citizenship.
Youth Collectives, Forums, and Campaigns
Youth collectives act as safe, inclusive spaces for discussion, planning, and peer support, ensuring participation from diverse backgrounds, especially marginalised groups. Through forums and campaigns, young people engage with community members, local leaders, and service providers on themes like education, health, environment, and gender equality.

Project Concept
The Community Engagement program forms youth collectives and forums in local areas, where young people regularly meet to identify issues, prioritise needs, and plan action projects. With guidance from mentors, these groups design and implement activities such as awareness campaigns, clean-up drives, school support initiatives, public space improvements, and digital advocacy.

Volunteer and Leadership Opportunities
Young people can volunteer in various roles including event organisation, facilitation, documentation, outreach, and digital communication. Consistent volunteers are offered structured leadership pathways, mentorship, and opportunities to represent Yuva Sahyog in networks, consultations, and collaborative projects with partner organisations
